コンセプト
ギャラリーや美術館などといった美術制度ないの空間ではなく、生活によって営まれた場所を前提に制作される作品。
部屋に残されたものの場所を移動させる事なく動作させ、音を出したり、文字を書いたり(彫ったり)、映像を映したり、揺らしたり、光や陰に介入したりなどを行う事で、生きている事と死んでいる事、留まっている事と活性化している事、ほどけたり結び合ったりする事などを行き来しながら部屋自体が呼吸をするような空間を設計する。それは、さまざまな間を横断しながら演奏される汽水域の音楽である。
Concept
Works created not for institutional spaces like galleries or museums, but for places shaped by daily life.
By activating objects left in a room without moving them—making sounds, writing (or carving) characters, projecting images, creating vibrations, or intervening with light and shadow—the room itself breathes, navigating between states of life and death, stagnation and vitality, unraveling and binding. This designs a space where the room itself breathes. It is the music of brackish waters, performed while traversing various in-between spaces.
